In May 2023, 175 students were awarded $12,000 in scholarships in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.  10 students in the United States were also awarded $500 each in scholarships.

Rachel Etim of AKISAN Philadelphia Chapter is a student of Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania and is studying Economics.  She has a 4.0 GPA, a volleyball player for Albright and also coaches ECP AAU volleyball club U-14

Ama Nkereuwem of AKISAN Atlanta Chapter is a student of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee and is studying Educational Studies with a concentration in Policy and Social Change.  She has a 3.48 GPA
