“Inspire to Empower”

To mobilize and empower AKISAN women to re-stake our claim on community building, economic development and leadership in support of the mission of AKISAN. We also aim to recognize and celebrate the amazing contributions of Ibaan AKISAN.

  • To take up projects that will reduce women’s vulnerability to domestic violence and health related issues
  • To unite members towards values that will support AKISAN mission
  • To foster an environment and maintain a forum that allows room for training, discussion, encouragement and promote women to share ideas and make greater impact within AKISAN
  • To energize AKISAN young women leaders both in diaspora and at home to be champions on gender equality and empowerment

To mobilize women to:

  • Participate in decision making, promote diversity and social systems change at all levels in AKISAN
  • Work in collaboration to increase visibility of women leaders and their contributions to society
  • Create interventions that empower, transform and strengthen the lives of disenfranchised women
  • Mobilization: One on one (Individually, chapter and blasts)
