ABOUT ME:
Mercy Otu is a 23-year-old living in Atlanta. A fourth-year student studying information systems with a minor in financial technology. She is also a part-time professional photographer. When am not working or in school, I love to dance and listen to Afrobeat. I also love to spend time with friends and family.
PLATFORM: Developing your God-Given Talent and bringing the Akwa Ibom youths together.
My focus is to encourage the Akwa Ibom Youths to develop their God-given talent and also set up different events to get the youths involved in the organization. During these events, I will bring up conversations like why it is important to understand the language and know about the culture.
In addition to this, I would love to visit at least 2 motherless baby homes to donate items needed such as tissue, diapers, clothing, medical supplies, etc.
Host seminars for schools to talk about the importance of education and donate school supplies like school bags, pens, pencils, notebooks, etc. at the end of the seminars.
Visit at least 2 hospitals. Spend time with some patients and donate hospital supplies.
Regarding my platform in developing inner talent, I will also love to host a talent show to give youths an opportunity to get on stage and express their talent. In the end, they will be a prize award for the first, second, and third positions.
