About the Program
The AKISAN Mentorship Program connects experienced professionals with mentees who are
eager to advance their careers, build essential skills, and navigate the challenges of professional
life. Together, mentors and mentees work to foster growth, confidence, and career success.
Program Objectives:
- Help mentees develop critical skills like leadership, communication, and strategic
planning. - Provide mentees with personalized guidance to achieve their career aspirations.
- Strengthen the professional network within the AKISAN community by fostering
collaboration and mutual support.
What’s Involved?
As a mentor, you will:
- Guide and Inspire: Provide practical advice, feedback, and support to help your mentee
achieve their goals. - Share Your Story: Offer valuable insights and lessons from your own professional
journey to motivate and empower your mentee. - Set Goals Together: Help your mentee create and work toward an Individual
Development Plan (IDP) tailored to their needs and aspirations. - Engage Regularly: Commit to meeting with your mentee at least once a month (virtually
or in person) for meaningful conversations.
Timeline
It’s a one-year commitment, with the option to renew or conclude at the end of the program
cycle. Here’s what to expect:
Months 1-2: Complete the mentor sign-up process, get matched with your mentee, and
attend the program orientation session.
Months 2-6: Hold meetings with your mentee to discuss progress and offer guidance.
Month 5: Participate in a mid-program review to share feedback and adjust goals if
needed.
Month 12: Celebrate possible at the next National Convention event, reflecting on the
successes and growth achieved together.
