About Mr. Richard Eyo


Richard Eyo serves as Chair of the Council of Chapter Presidents (CCP) and Ex-Officio member of the Board of Trustees of AKISAN USA. In this role, he provides leadership in policy formulation, strengthens governance, and champions the formation and growth of AKISAN chapters across the United States—ensuring alignment, accountability, and the Association's sustainable expansion.


Professionally, Richard is a Smart/Information Security Consultant and the Founder of InfoShield Technologies LLC. He brings deep expertise in cybersecurity, risk management, and regulatory compliance, helping organizations safeguard digital assets and protect critical IT infrastructure. His work spans the design and implementation of robust security frameworks, incident response leadership, and building audit-ready environments.


Richard has extensive hands-on experience with global standards and regulations, including ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS. He is also a trusted advisor on the secure deployment of Artificial Intelligence, educating organizations, industries, and government agencies on responsible, compliant, and resilient AI adoption.


He holds an MSc in Information Security from the University of London, a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Engineering from the University of Uyo, and ND/HND in Computer Science from OSISATECH Polytechnic. His professional certifications include Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), ISO/IEC 27001 ISMS Consultant, PCI-DSS Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist, Qualys VMDR Specialist, and Microsoft Windows Server Network Engineer.


Richard is an active member of (ISC)², the Information Security Group (UK), and CIISec (UK), and a contributor to peer-reviewed cybersecurity research and publications.
