The Mr. and Miss Akwa Ibom USA pageant is the oldest cultural pageant in the United States catering to the people of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Produced by the Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, USA, INC (AKISAN USA), a 501c3 non-profit organization, this pageant highlights elegance, intellect, confidence, and strength, characteristics that the Akwa Ibom people of Nigeria exemplify every day. This scholarship pageant highlights the essence of our people while empowering our youth to represent themselves and our culture as national titleholders.
Requirements:
~ Age: 18-28(As of the day before the pageant)
~ Single (Never Married)
~ Never given birth/ never fostered a child
~ At least one parent of Akwa Ibom heritage
~ Resident or citizen of the USA for the entirety of anticipated reign
~ AKISAN Chapter Membership
~ No previous criminal convictions
