AKISAN USA Scholarship Deadline is January 31st, 2026.

The Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria (AKISAN) USA, Inc. is pleased to announce the official opening of the 2025/2026 AKISAN Scholarship Program. The initiative underscores AKISAN’s relentless commitment to investing in education, empowering youth, and supporting academic excellence both in the United States and in Nigeria.

USA Scholarship Details:
Ten (10) outstanding Akwa Ibom students studying in U.S. institutions of higher learning will each receive a $500 scholarship. Applicants must present a 2023 or recent transcript and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher to qualify.


Nigeria Scholarship Details:


Sixty-two (62) students—two from each of the 31 Local Government Areas in Akwa Ibom State—will be selected for the Nigerian category. The award tiers are as follows:


  • ₦100,000 for 62 students with GPA 3.5 and above



Applicants must be enrolled in a Nigerian institution of higher learning (University, Polytechnic, College of Education, or Maritime Academy) and submit a certificate of origin along with a recent transcript or WAEC result for first-year students.


Important Dates:


  • Application Portal Opens: November 10th, 2025
  • Deadline for Submission: January 31st, 2026
